The Genentech Foundation provides financial support to qualified nonprofit, U.S.-based charitable organizations. The Foundation awards grants in support of organizations that undertake charitable activities in the areas of:

• Health science education (elementary schools through the graduate level)
• Community-wide civic initiatives
• National patient education and advocacy efforts
